genome
two hundred and fifty six bytes on the body. every transfer xors the first eight bytes of its signature into the slot at amount modulo thirty two. the raw bytes are shown first, then the parameters they decode to, with the mapping used for each.

why it cannot break
each mapping adds a floor and bounds the range, so the worst byte still yields a usable parameter. a band edge is always above the previous edge. a decay is always below one, so the antennae always fade. a threshold is always above zero, so a lock needs real signal. a damage fraction is never zero, so dust sells never damage the hull. the genome steers the unit around a fixed interior. it cannot steer it off the edge.
